  Amy Collins is an award-winning painter and illustrator. She has taught classes and workshops in oil, acrylic and watercolor. Amy's professional work experience as a medical illustrator has influenced her painting style, best described as contemporary realism.
  This class, designed for all levels, will help you improve your skills while challenging you to become a better painter. Working from still lifes, photographs and models, we will cover the basics, such as color, composition and form. The class will combine demonstrations with individual instruction to help you discover your own style while enjoying the process of painting. Introduction to the properties of the Acrylics.  Basic skills and methods will be covered by working hands on to develop your own images.  Supply list will be given when you register.  Sessions will be ongoing and students can join in anytime.


Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 to 4pm$125/6 week session

Students will examine the varied applications of Acrylic, Mixed Media and Water Media as they explore and develop their own individual path to fine art painting.


$35 for 90 minute session

Monday afternoons from 3-4:30pm                            $25 for 90 minute group session

A fun environment where children can hone their art skills and features Drawing, Painting and Sculpture activities.  This is the introduction to art class every adult wishes they had in elementary school.  Each week a project will be begun and finished.  Classes are ongoing.

Rik Lazenby is accepting students for his painting/mixed media classes.  Classes are ongoing and will be limited to a maximum of ten students per class, thus allowing for individual attention.  Classes will be held in Rik's teaching studio at Artists on the Bluff.  All skill levels are welcome.  Students will need to bring their own canvas, board and art supplies.  A supply list will be given to students at their first meeting.  Please contact Rik Lazenby to register.

CHILDREN'S PAINTING CLASS (K-5th grades):  Mondays & Tuesdays from 3-4pm.  $25 per class.  Students will create a new painting each class.  Bluff Park Elementary students may come to the studio directly after school at 2:45pm.

OPEN STUDIO PAINTING CLASS (ages 7 & up):  Tuesdays from 4:30-6pm.  $30 per class.  This class allows students the opportunity to work on painting of their choice at their own pace, it may take one class or several to complete a painting.  Jayne will provide individual guidance to each student.  Students must be able to work on their own while Jayne assists other students.

ADULT CLASS:  Mondays from 6:30-8:00pm.  $35 per class.  All supplies are included.  Class will complete a painting in a fun, relaxing atmosphere.  No experience required.

BIRTHDAY or HOLIDAY PARTY:  $30 per painter for 2 hours for 6-16 people.  Whether for a child's birthday party or an office holiday party, celebrating at the studio is a fun experience.  For about an hour and a half we will create a painting of your choice, then have 30 minutes to party.  You may bring food and drink.  All painting supplies are included.  The party will create a painting in a fun, relaxing atmosphere and leave with a finished work of art.  No experience required.

WATERCOLOR CLASS - Class meets every Thursday (except holidays) from 9:30-11:30am.  $125 per month.  Contact artist for supply list.  This is a course in watercolor painting technique.  While the primary emphasis will be upon learning to handle this exciting medium, we also want to have fun.  We will explore various traditional techniques, such as direct washes and wet into wet applications to build form, value, texture and mood.

After school on Thursdays from 3-4PM ( Elementary Age)  or 4-5PM (Middle School Age) , we will create different projects using Zentangle and lots of other fun ideas!  $80 per month

BLUE ORGANICS - May 23rd at 10am.  We will use blue ink & pastel chalk pencils to create beautiful floral images on tan paper.  $45 includes supplies.

SUMMER ZENTANGLE INSPIRED CAMP for 7-10 YEAR OLDS - June 12th - 16th from 9am - NOON.  We will learn how to draw different patterns and incorporate them into other art projects.  $150 includes all supplies.

SUMMER ART CAMP for ages 11+ - June 19th - 23rd from 1-4pm.  We will incorporate Zentangle patterns into a variety of different art techniques including color splash and collage art.  $150 includes all supplies.

ADULT ART JOURNAL CAMP for ages 12+ - July 10th-14th from 10am-4pm.  We will learn different techniques to create an art journal, including color splash, paper marbling and much, much more!  $300 includes all supplies.

Imagine your child with a new original work of art each month.  Led by elementary art teacher, Ahmad Austin, this class teaches a step by step drawing and painting method.  Mr. Austin ensures that each child who attends will receive a top-quality classroom experience.
